Cloudy Donut Co. brought its unique baked creations to Chicago for a pop-up on October 17–18, hosted inside Every Now and Then, with coffee provided by Josephine’s by Joe.

The event featured a limited number of curated boxes filled with an impressive selection of flavors, including Brûléed Sweet Potato Poundcake, Lemon Blueberry Poundcake, Brown Sugar Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Jalapeño Peach Olive Oil Cake, Orange Saffron, and Basil Olive Oil Cake. Although I didn’t get a chance to try any of the treats, they certainly looked amazing.

Despite the chilly fall weather, the atmosphere was cozy, warm, and inviting. It was also a pleasure meeting owners Derrick Faulcon and Zewiditu Jewel and learning more about their movement and the vision behind Cloudy Donut Co.

It was a lovely way to spend a fall day in Chicago, surrounded by good energy, coffee, and the promise of something sweet.
